Bengaluru, June 5: A cycle jatha was organised as part of World Environment Day celebrations herein Jaigopal Garodia Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Ramamurthy Nagar with the theme “Pedal for the Planet – ‘Say No to Plastic’ RP @ 60”.
Students of class 9 participated enthusiastically in the event.
The rally started from the school premises with placards carrying strong messages like “Save the Planet” and “Say No to Plastic” and divided into two groups, one group pedalled to TC Palya. Where they created awareness among the residents at Shanti Layout about the harmful effects of plastic.
The other group marched towards ITI Circle and grabbed public attention with slogans and short speeches emphasizing the urgent need to reduce the use of plastic.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಜೂ. 5: ಜೈಗೋಪಾಲ್‌ ಗರೋಡಿಯಾ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ರಾಮಮೂರ್ತಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಸೈಕಲ್‌ ಜಾಥಾ “ಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪೆಡಲ್-ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ” RP @ 60” ಥೀಮ್‌ ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ 9 ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು.
“ಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ” ಮತ್ತು “ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ” ನಂತಹ ಬಲವಾದ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಫಲಕಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ರ್ಯಾಲಿಯು ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ಗುಂಪುಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಜನೆಗೊಂಡು ಒಂದು ಗುಂಪು ಟಿಸಿ ಪಾಳ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪೆಡಲ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಗಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಶಾಂತಿ ಲೇಔಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್‌ನ ಹಾನಿಕಾರಕ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಗುಂಪು ಐಟಿಐ ವೃತ್ತದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿ, ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ತುರ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳುವ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಣ್ಣ ಭಾಷಣಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು.
