About Us

Jaigopal Garodia Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra (JGRVK) is nestled in the serene neighbourhood of Ramamurthy Nagar, a vibrant area in the eastern part of Bengaluru. Our school is well-connected and enjoys proximity to various amenities, educational institutions, hospitals, parks, and cultural centres, fostering a rich academic environment for holistic development. Initially, Vikasa Trust was established to support local students in Ramamurthy Nagar, starting with classes 8, 9, and 10.

Later, the trust became part of Rashtrotthana Parishat, leading to the creation of a new CBSE school in 2010 (CBSE affiliation no 830369, school code 45282), named Jaigopal Garodia Rashtotthana Vidya Kendra, in honour of the philanthropist Jaigopal Garodia, who believed in giving back to society. Apart from providing financial aid, he was instrumental in building the initial network of people to support student education.

Today, JGRVK has become a prestigious educational institution in Bengaluru, promoting “Panchamukhi Shikshana”, which encompasses intellectual, emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual development. With passionate teachers, dedicated staff, state-of-the-art infrastructure, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students, JGRVK excels in education, sports, and co-curricular activities while providing an education rooted in Bharathiya ethos, emphasising knowledge of Sanskrit shlokas, music, and dance.

The fundamental role of education extends beyond imparting academic knowledge; it is a pivotal force in shaping society, fostering innovation, and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.

As we navigate through an era marked by rapid technological advancements and complex social challenges, the importance of evolving educational practices cannot be overstressed.

Are we at the forefront of this transformation?
Are we embracing a holistic approach that prepares students to thrive in a multifaceted world?

Schools that Educate Differently

In the evolving landscape of education, the role of schools extends far beyond traditional academics. We at JGRVK are pioneering a transformative approach that not only fosters a conducive learning environment but also moulds students into exemplary citizens.  The focus is not solely on quantifiable outcomes like grades but on creating a holistic educational experience that prepares students for the complexities of life.

The current educational framework often prioritises measurable achievements, such as test scores, which serve as gateways to higher education. However, this narrow focus can undermine the broader purpose of education—developing well-rounded individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society. At JGRVK, the philosophy is markedly different. The school aims to provide a happy and safe environment that nurtures creativity and commitment among educators and students alike, yielding significant positive impacts on the community at large.

Looking Ahead

At the outset, it’s essential for educational institutions to embrace innovation in teaching and learning processes. The goal is to equip students not only with academic knowledge but also with the skills to be socially conscious and adaptable to change. This requires a shift from traditional teaching methods to more dynamic and integrated approaches that emphasise critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and civic responsibility.

The challenge, however, lies in overcoming the complexities of change. Moving beyond immediate, tangible outcomes to a more future-oriented and inclusive educational model demands considerable effort and foresight. Education shapes a child’s future profoundly, making it imperative to consider the long-term consequences of our pedagogical choices today.

Reflecting on the wise words of Albert Einstein, “Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learnt in school,” underscores the enduring impact of what we teach and how we teach. In conclusion, as educators and stakeholders in the educational sector, it’s crucial to support and learn from such initiatives that offer a promising glimpse into the future of education that ensures students not only excel in academics but also be ready for life.
