Bengaluru, August 9: Nagara Panchami was celebrated with devotion herein Jaigopal Garodia Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Ramamurthy Nagar. Children were briefed on the significance of this day and cultural programs were conducted. Nagarapanchami is a traditional Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of snake and is celebrated on the Panchami day of Shuklapaksha in the month of Shravan. It is a tribute to the Naga deities who are considered symbols of fertility and wealth. Devotees offer milk, flowers and prayers to Naga idols or Naga ‘Huttas’ to seek their blessings for protection and prosperity.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 9: ಜೈಗೋಪಾಲ್ ಗರೋಡಿಯಾ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ರಾಮಮೂರ್ತಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗರ ಪಂಚಮಿಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಈ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ನಾಗರಪಂಚಮಿಯು ಸರ್ಪಗಳ ಪೂಜೆಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಾದ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಹಿಂದೂ ಹಬ್ಬವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಇದನ್ನು ಶ್ರಾವಣ ಮಾಸ ಶುಕ್ಲಪಕ್ಷದ ಪಂಚಮಿಯ ದಿನ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಫಲವತ್ತತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನ ಸಂಕೇತವೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುವ ನಾಗದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ದಿನ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ. ಭಕ್ತರು ನಾಗ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ‘ಹುತ್ತ’ಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಲು, ಹೂವುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೋರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
